But this impulse causes me to repeat
Drink after each contemptible drink

If only I’d think
First before my thirst for love takes over

You can depend on me to be confusing

I am losing
A battle
A conflict from within and
Again I have to give in to myself

Unaided and fading away

Hopeful that I will be me again someday
