I can’t keep from getting my mind lost, and I can’t find.

Turning pockets full change into a safe at the bank.
Engine running on an empty tank.
Home too far away for the eye to see.

Yet, when I count to three we suddenly repair.
We share the same space, the same face, heart and soul.
We breathe the same air.
I must really be us… because,
I would be me, but I’m under control.
I would eat more, but I’m already full.
I wish I could take it all down the road but,
I’m already carrying more than I can hold.
