A big toast memory I have from childhood...

We used to have one of the Bonanza steakhouses in my hometown when I was little.  Actually, we had two, but one in particular my parents and I went to fairly often.  I liked this Bonanza for two reasons:

1. There was the main dining room in the front of the restaurant, and then a smaller, raised dining room in the back, connected to the large front room by a large, wide ramp.  For some reason I thought this was soooo cool, and began referring to the place as "the Ramp Bonanza".

2. With almost every entree, you got a piece of what they called "Texas Toast", chopped diagonally into two pieces... Holy cow, was this stuff good!  Almost half again as thick as a regular piece of bread, the surface absolutely soaked in butter, then allowed to sizzle on the griddle on both sides, until it developed yummy patches of crunchy brown goodness scattered over the golden surface.  Absolutely delicious by itself, also good dipped in the ketchup you had for your steak fries.

Damn... I wonder if Bonanza is still around anywhere?

I had a dream about a restaraunt similar to what you are describing...

I have these dreams about people that take part in their lives both past and present.. I don't talk about them anymore because no one believes/believed me when I said that it happened or is going to ..until I tripped a few ppl out by making a "prediction" about their lives.... just recently I had a dream that my ex went to the hospital.. and just recently she did (given my ex goes to the hospital a LOT due to a chronic stomach illness.. it's still trippy that the next day she went to the hospital)...

having said that... do I know you? or do we maybe know someone mutual other than Brian?
